DIY Paint and IOD Ideas for Valentine's Day

You can create amazing Valentine's Day projects with Debi's DIY Paint and Iron Orchid Designs. Here are a few I have made. 

First I wanted to create a valentine tree. I used a silver Christmas tree but you could use a white tree or even branches in a vase would look wonderful. I used wooded hearts as a base. I added castings from IOD Moulds including Birdsong, Cameos, Monarch and Harper. ( We are currently out of Birdsong) . Then I painted them with Kissing Booth, Petticoat Pink, Old 57, White Swan and Marquee. I sealed with Big Top. Then I used Layered Chocolate as a watered down glaze. I took a baby wipe and wiped back the brown to leave and antiqued look. I also added some scrapes for transfers to some of the hearts. For a 3D look I used puffy hearts from the Dollar Store. I added mould castings to them and painted them like I did the wooded hearts. I love how they turned out. 

On Friday I painted a shirt on the DIY Valentines Marathon on the DIY paint Facebook page.

Tdkay I went live on the IOD Facebook page. You can see me there at 5 pm eastern every 1st and 3rd Sunday, Today I created a Valentine banner.
